Assure Terms of Use

Assure by Canine Development. Last updated 28 October 2026 · Version assure-terms-2026-10-28

1. Who we are

Assure is run by Canine Development ApS, CVR 42092134, Vestervej 26, 8500 Grenaa, Denmark. Contact: info@canine.dev.

These are Assure's terms, for everyone who uses Assure. Each of our products has its own terms. Sections 6 and 11, and the consumer protection in section 12, are for you when you use Assure as a private person. If you use Assure for a business, those do not apply, disputes go to the Danish courts, and the code we process for you is covered by our data processing agreement.

2. What Assure does

Assure scans the code in a repository you connect and tells you in plain words what it found, how your score has moved and what to fix first. A report is information to help you decide. It is not a guarantee that your code is secure, correct or fit for any purpose, and it does not replace a review by a person who knows the code.

3. Your code

For every scan we make a temporary copy of your repository in memory, analyse it, store the report and delete the copy. We never write to your repository and we do not train models on your code. You may only connect a repository you have the right to connect. How we handle personal data is in our privacy notice.

4. Two scans before we ask for a card

You can try Assure on a repository before you give us a card.

  • Two scans first. Connect a repository and we scan it, and again 14 days later. Both reports open in full.
  • Then we ask. After the second scan we pause and ask whether you want to keep going. No further scan of that repository runs until you add a card.
  • If you do not add a card, you pay nothing. The reports you already have stay yours to read.

5. What it costs

The price per repository is shown on our website, VAT included, and we show it again before you add a card. Adding a card charges nothing: you pay after, never before.

  • We scan every repository you connect every 14 days. After each scan we can email you the score and how it moved, if you asked for that on your account page.
  • A month costs the price times the repositories we scanned for you in that month, each repository counted once however often it was scanned. A repository you disconnect still counts in a month we scanned it.
  • Your months count from your first scan, so your first month includes the scans before you added a card. Each month is charged when it has ended.

6. Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to withdraw, without giving a reason. With Assure you have more than that: until your first month is charged, withdrawing costs nothing.

  • How to withdraw. Sign in and use "Withdraw from contract here" on your account page. It is there until your first month is charged. We confirm by email straight away, and nothing is charged.
  • Starting at once. When you add a card, your scans go on without a pause. At checkout you ask us for that (a box you tick):

I want my subscription to start now. I know I pay nothing if I withdraw before my first month is charged.

This does not limit your rights if something we deliver is faulty (section 7).

7. If something is wrong with a report

If a report is faulty, for example it is incomplete, cannot be opened, or belongs to the wrong repository, tell us. We fix it or run the scan again for free. If we cannot, you do not pay for it, or you get back what you paid for it. These rights come from the law and nothing in these terms takes them away.

A score you disagree with is not a fault in itself. Assure measures the code against a published standard (the Code Assurance Index), and you can dispute a finding from the report.

8. Stopping

Sign in and stop your subscription from your account page at any time. Before your first month is charged, that is withdrawing, and nothing is charged (section 6). After it, you keep Assure to the end of the month you are in, we charge that month when it ends, and nothing after it.

You can disconnect a repository at any time. We stop scanning it straight away, and its reports stay in your account. You can close your account at any time. Closing the account deletes it after 14 days (during which you can undo it). Reports are deleted with the account.

9. Fair use

A repository on Assure can hold up to 500,000 lines of code. Above that we do not scan the repository on Assure, and we tell you why and what the alternative is. Do not try to get around the limits, and do not use Assure to disrupt the service.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for doing what these terms promise. We are not responsible for losses you could not have foreseen when you bought, or for decisions you make based on a report. Nothing here limits our liability for gross negligence or intent, or any liability that the law does not allow a business to limit towards a consumer.

11. Complaints

Write to us first at info@canine.dev. If we cannot agree, you can complain to the Danish consumer complaints body, Nævnenes Hus (Forbrugerklagenævnet), www.naevneneshus.dk. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help (www.forbrugereuropa.dk in Denmark).

12. Law

Danish law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection that the consumer law of your own country gives you.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. A change applies from your first monthly payment after that date. If you do not want the new terms, stop before then (section 8). Reports you already have are never affected.
